There are many civ4 (sub) forums, and most of them are hardly used. There are MANY topped threads that are hardly used either.
I think that our civ4-forum structure is totally not-attracting for new members since they have to browse through many useless forums to find some or no info. I think it's better to bring as much as possible info together. It's better to have 1 active forum then 2 semi-active forums, imho.
I have made a suggestion: (al dates are dd-mm-yy)
First: delete the following forums
Civ4-Stories/Reviews (last posts: 29-01-07, 12-01-07, 25-09-06)
Civ4-Hall of Fame/SP Tournaments (16-10-06)
Civ4-Single Player Democracy Game (13-02-07, 12-01-07, 19-12-06)
Merge the following forums
Civ4-Apolyton University & Civ4-Strategy & Education
Civ4-Multiplaying & Civ4-MP Tournaments
Make the following forums subforums
Civ4-Help under Civ4-General
Civ4-Warlords Democracy Game AND Civ4-Team Democracy Game UNDER Civ4-Multiplaying
I think there's more that can be axed, now I've focussed only on the really inactive forums. There are some forums out there as well with only a very few players that keep things active. A new / improved structue may give new life to these forums.
I also propose to keep as few as possible unsticky threads. It's so annoying to have to scroll down to the first active really interesting post.
I suggest that only posts with information will be topped. Other threads, ie. with screenshots, don't need to be topped. And info threads for new patches etc. can be unstickied after a few months as well.
Agreed?
