The two thread limit is only in the OTF.
However, if somebody spams the on topic forums with tons of meaningless threads, then they will get restricted

This is one rule that ISN'T going to change.
Why not? As I said, let a thread stand on its own merits...

Nahhh...
Then we would have a bunch of whiney PM's about how such and such a spam thread had merit. When we were discussing the original rule, we determinded that just limiting it two threads was the best way to stop somebody from creating a lot of threads, most of which were spam.
So while you are welcome to your opinion, the rule isn't going to change. It's much easier this way, and we don't have to get in a fight with people about the value of "their threads".
Why don't you create a script that will automatically prevent someone from starting more than two threads in OT per day, as long as this won't slow down the server noticeably?
Nahhh...

See that's more like it - a logical reason. I can live with those!

We need a "get this thread to 10,000 posts" thread. A Deity Thread, cool

You don't have to get into a fight with people about the value of threads if they create more than two, either, you nark.
