never heard of the 3 thread limit. I do know about the 2 thread limit in OTF.

It's even harder to find things in multiple long threads.

Not to mention you have to be able to find all threads part of the same "discussion" first.

That's especially the case when, say, you post in a thread, but not in a follow-up thread. So you can find the one you posted in easily through "My Threads", but not the one you didn't post in.

I might be gone for a few days and miss the follow-up thread altogether. Or I might not have anything to add, and posting just to "subscribe" is stupid. And I was just giving an example, because the essence of my post was its first sentence.

Archaic, in fact, actually does rule .

I'm creating at most 3 threads per year. I'm sure that should be enough for everyone. As for the 500 post rule, it is annoying for PBEM turn trackers, where it's often enough ignored anyway. But if I browse a random long thread in AC, in OG or OT, it consists to 95% of spam and only 5% of halfway meaningful stuff. I'm all for keeping the limit but drastically cull the spam in said threads. The content of meaningful posts per thread could be raised to 2000% of its current value, which would be equivalent to raising the thread limit to 10.000 posts at the current spam rate.

This issue is under consideration, and I will post as soon as I know more.

I'm in favour of these changes

They would have no real meaning, though,
