  • Archaic Rules

    • No thread longer than 500 posts.
    • No member to post more than 3 threads in any one day.

I propose for these rules to be abolished.

The former is irrelevant - this harks back to the day when Apolyton was powered by a Z80 processor, and then its resources were also part-time used by a washing machine.

The latter is silly, threads should be judged on their own merits. If someone is particularly inspired on any one day, let them flow!

    Come on, who's with me?

        Really?

Well I think that it has slipped under the radar more than anything else, after all, I doubt any of the mods actually count them.

I can see the case for abolition of the 3 threads rule but the 500 posts rule was never just about speed. I think that one should stay.

Still......can be hard to find what you are looking for in long threads.

But regardless, I am not a nazi about either rule.

I actually kind of like the thread limit rule. It gets me to be inventive whenever I open a new World Football thread.

Well I would like a response from the mods or admins or whatever they call themselves nowadays - God Emperors I suspect. I do hope that trigger-happy DanQ doesn't just wade in and close the thread.
