We do not get paid for doing ths. If we did, why would we work somewhere/on something else?
Well, now that it seems both admins are aware of the existence of this thread, do you guys think that this little Ming vs Locutus debacle is something that should be acceptable?
I mean, people get banned for much less than the crap they've been flinging at each other here. I'd like to know what's their excuse...

Seriously? Reality check: as Meractor was getting at hosting expenses, software licensing fees, domain fees etc. are financial costs that are incurred by running Apolyton. Advertisements and PLUS subscriptions are used to cover those costs -- we are not independently wealthy. We both have jobs (in my case, two part-time jobs).

We have previously disclosed the configuration of Apolyton's server, and have stated our host's identity (and that's relatively easy to figure out by looking up anyone of our domains besides). Speaking of domains, you can find them referenced on-site (and many throughout the forums). By doing a little bit of research along these lines, you could reasonably come up with a decent ballpark figure of how much money it costs to keep this site operational.
Why I had to spell that much out I doubt I'll ever know.
