My take is Railroad Tycoon is easier to "revitalise" than Alpha Centauri. So they do the easy one first.

    • The probably arrived on it because PopTop was already making a RR game and they could just slap the name on.

      • That's a more likely reason. I'd welcome a decent RR game, except I predict it will be all glitz and no depth.

          • Two easy(and clever)reasons:58 voters is a very small number and this voters (we)will probably buy any of them.

            • That is just the Poly poll. The Firaxis poll has more voters than that...

I had A-Train many a year ago. Had no idea how to play it.

Railroads was started and will end entirely within Firaxis.

Me neither. It was rather involved.

What?? You mean some originality in a Firaxis game? What a ludicrous idea...

                            • When I played A-train I didn't bother building railways, I just played the stock market instead.

                              • When I got my first PC, A-Train was the piece of software I got alongside Civilization, my first PC software purchase.

I can't even recall if I installed A-Train, much less played it. I do know that I was up to 8:00 the next morning playing Civ though...
