I love threads full of references to Fez.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

Why would anyone ever use the Submit Reply (return to forum) button?

It is useful if you don't open threads in new tabs or windows, but use just one window (or tab) to navigate the forums.

It's faster just to have a bookmark to the forum page you're browsing. Then it's just tab-enter or tab-space and a quick click on the bookmark toolbar. Skips the quote page.

He said he wanted a "Preview Post" button in the Quick Reply form, which is located at the bottom of a thread page. I disagree with this because if you click on the "Post Reply" button, you'll be taken to a page where you can not only preview your post but also edit your text with lots of interesting tools (they're useful if you don't know the codes).

So, all I said was: the quick reply was made to be a time-saving feature, allowing you to post without having to go to a different page. It should not contain unnecessary features like "Preview Post".
The problem is, no one in their right mind ever uses "post reply" unless they want to post an attachment. Previewing posts is a very reasonable option to have for quick replies.

Yes, Alex, but many times that "quick retort" becomes a dissertation and it would be nice to preview that unexpected monstrosity before you toss it out to the wolves.

Again, it detracts none from the site and adds a feature that is needed and wanted. If you don't want to use it, don't use it.

Have to agree with Alex though, press repley when you think you're going to need to see a preview.

I would like to be able to do an attachement from the quick reply box, now that would be handy.
You support my idea, I'll support yours. Deal?

Well, I use it quite often just to post. I also use the quick reply button. It depends upon what I want to say and if I want it to appear ASAP.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

In those cases I usually copy-paste it into the normal post reply screen. It would be nice of that screen actually resized itself to fit your resolution... it's absurd to have to type in a 400x300 box when you're using a 1200x1024 screen.

Can't you just read your post before hitting post reply?

You´re right, I just got thrown by the lack of quote in your post. Thus making it seem like you answered a previous post in another thread...
