Sounds fine as long as there is something in each forum to show voting is happening, with links.

So- just wondering, any volunteers to make the icon? I'm not very good with them and don't have any high-end graphics software that I can use well.

          Start a design thread/competiton.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

But have few suggestions- only one that uses a preexisting smiley- now it is a pretty good idea, but still, there has to be something better.

In this new era of openness, I thought , can we have a hustings or supporters area.

Kassiopeia did a great promotional job for Googlie (well deserved) and well done Kassi. But there were other candidates, that if I or others had known more about their contribution to 'poly' I might have considered (and might consider next time round).

Also there are quite a number of OT posters who enrich the community with their wit and deserve recognition. Well somebody tell me about them rather than just a blank vote.

Well, as you mention Hercules, the only way for other people's accomplishments to be noted (if they aren't already in the hall) is if other people elaborate the reasons for which they are voting for someone.

that being said- is anyone at work on a civgroup icon?

                    --
I have already completed a small revamping of the list that will be avaliable either next election, or if there does come to be a permanent location for the Hall itself.

I can put together a bunch of them, but I'm having trouble with a theme. What should it say? What color? A border?

Should the icon be named, like "Oscar" or "Emmy". Should we call ours "Poly" and have it be the silouette of a lovely lady?

The 'poly That's a pretty good idea

I made some comments on your work in the OT thread, but another idea just came to me now: combining the A, the red background and the world so as to symbolize Apolyton and the hall's international nature.

Hmm... for concept, I suppose I wanted the designers to figure out one on their own, but personally I envisoend the ting to be clean, minimialistic in design but very obvious in the message that it conveyed-

Perhaps, (and this is only an idea) something synthesizing both the "A" of Apolyton and the HoF letters- though I do worry about the thing being too wordy. The idea of a trophy (as per ixnay's suggestion) or the 'Poly (sort of made to look like oscar or the lady holding up the golden globe) would also be appropriate ideas.

                            What does everyone else think?

And thanks again, Harry for your many combination suggestions.

                              Ok, per your ideas:

                              From right to left -

"A" with "HOF" on Earth on Red background

"A" on Earth on Red background

"A" with "HOF" on Earth on Red background with black background for parts of "HOF" to make it stand out more.
