How can anybody who joined in 2002 and is an emperor today not be a spammer

He should have joined in 1999 and not have reached emperor yet to be labeled as a non-spammer

Compared to to the rabbit I should be allowed to post 100 posts in this thread only showing how my adm stats changed from post to post.

By these terms, who, besides Ming, can be concidered a spammer if jrabbit is not.....!?

3000 posts in 2 years seems reasonable, if you have a healthy interest in a civ game.

That is slightly over 4 posts per day. Easy done on-topic.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Add in some single smiley posts a la Skanky and you could make Deity in that time.

Situations where the single-smiley response is appropriate are few and far between. It would be much easier to troll the cIV section instead. Or become a meta-spammer.

But since normal people won't access the internet for a few days per week, or won't visit some obscure gaming site, that makes it 9 posts a day.

Abstract vacation, periods of sickness, days you forget about the existance of poly.
Periods you're too busy, christmass, new years day, eastern, thanksgiving. Days poly is down, etc. etc.

That will make it that you have to post at least 28 posts per active day.
And that for 2 concecutive years.............

                  nah....

Many check in here at least for a few minutes each day in normal circumstances. Holidays take out a few days each year, but not enough to make 28 ppd necessary by a long way!

We are starting from circa 4 ppd. It's only if you are active 1/7th of the year you need 28ppd. That's silly.

Hey Cybershy, what's your deal? My ppd is 3.43 and has never been higher than 4. Do you seriously think I can't find 3-4 on-topic comments per day?

I joined POly on Feb 1, 2002. That's 880 days ago (x3.43, do the math). I'm a Civ2 guy. I was here when the Democracy Games started and played the first two, often in minister roles. Haven't done that since last summer. For the past year or so, I've been playing in several Succession Games, and also play the occasional MP game. Relatively few of my posts come from Community. Virtually no posts from other games (Civ3, RoN, etc), since I'm a Mac guy.

Compared to to the rabbit I should be allowed to post 100 posts in this thread only showing how my adm stats changed from post to post.

At least I don't spend my time whining about the posting habits of others in the Community forum. I challenge you to find any significant amount of in my posting history -- outside of last Friday's aberration (3 posts, btw, and yeah, it was a troll -- so shoot me).

Unlike many on this gaming site, I actually participate in games as part of a Civ2 community. I would guess that about 90% of my posts are from the various Civ2 fora.

Now take your pathetic 1.44 ppd and tell your story walking.

C'mon, people who start fights about postcount are either trolling or plain insane.
In either situation you should not react
