Chris runs it and we need players

Runs (R), Hits (H), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Batting Average (AVG), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS)
Innings Pitched (IP), Wins (W), Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Quality Starts (QS), Saves + Holds (SV+H)

    Definitely favors SPs
    Anyone want in? Bueller... Bueller?

Look at the current settings for our league, I added some categories to try and keep balance and favor IPs so let us know if you see anything posing a problem.

Vote on the net categories, do you want SB, Wins, and Saves and Holds with or without penalties. I like factoring in losses, blown saves and holds and caught stealing without having to add more categories but I'm flexible on it.

Batting TB and SLG are related but TB better reflects output, we can keep them both or dump one.

Would anyone prefer OPS to SLG since we have TB? That would add more weight to walks and cut down SLG a little.

Stats are your decision Berz. I like that it differentiates from SEFBBL and won't complain after the fact (too much).

There are no blown holds because every Hold situation is considered a Save situation until the RP is pulled or loses the lead at which point it becomes either a Hold or a blown save. So Holds count holds and netSaves counts Saves, blown saves+holds.

I'd like to penalize relievers who blow leads and the only way we can do that with Saves and Holds as scoring categories is with NetSaves or blown saves and the latter requires an additional category so we might as well use NetSaves.

My god, somehow Berz managed to choose settings that are even worse than last year's.

The net stats, WINS, total bases for hitting, ave and ops instead of avg/obp/slg, STRIKEOUTS FOR HITTERS, are the ones that immediately stand out to me as being wrong.

Also increase the min inning pitched to at least 30 since we start a zillion pitchers.

I like TB, best counting stat yahoo offers
and we need something to favor SPs over RPs and Wins is about the only thing I see that's actually relevant to the game in the pitching stats that doesn't duplicate what we already have
As for the net stats I don't understand why you don't like them or anything else. Why shouldn't SBs count caught stealing and blowing leads count against wins, saves and holds?

You already have Hits, Homeruns, and walks, adding TB is redundant and favors power hitters. As for RPs, increase the minimum inning requirement, like I said. If someone wants to risk running 8 RPs they can as far as I'm concerned. And you're going to be hard pressed to find that many elite RPs anyways, it's a high risk play. Wins is a coin flip and you already have QS, thus redundant. And it's stupid. Net stats are also stupid. Anyone who thinks otherwise is stupid. Done.
