my buddy will be playing the north course out there next week... he boarded amtrak a few months ago for SD to play and had a heart attack before leaving the state

Pure luck this week, as the Euros never put Howell III in the lineup, costing them 10 points.

But I'll take it.

I did the same. It was a conscious choice. If it was latter in the year, it would have been automatic, but this early, I figured I'd rather save the start.
One of the reason while I'm never at the top.

Looking at my history, I've never run out of starts for more than 2 players in any year.
So I have a new philosophy this year: I won't even think about preserving starts until we hit the third segment..

I always start the year promising myself that it's the strategy of choice. I'm usually able to stick to it with the As & Cs but buckle on the Bs since you use so many.

It's fun to be in first place! It's been awhile - several years - so I'll enjoy it for the brief time I'll probably hold it.

I was #219 before Sunday. But even #363 overall is a personal best.
Granted, it's nowhere near The Euroz territory and it's only 4 weeks. But still...

Thanks Berz for giving me the opportunity to reminisce and bask in the glory of the old days... I went up to 3rd in the whole wide world

At a time when there were many more players than now and quite late in the season too... Did run out of Jordan Spieth starts at the end and he won the Tour Championship (I think) which killed me in the end

But last week that was a pure mistake, I was definitely not saving starts on Chuckie 3 sticks!! a well known choker who had not had a top 3 finish in the last 3 or 4 years!
I was actually banking on Rose or Sneds to play a killer round and win the tournament

One issue I see this week which is a re-occurence of last week is that some Golfers are now tagged as "NE" while they are definitely in the tournament!!

This happened with Jimmy Walker last week (and a few others) - in the end Yahoo solved it so my advice would be "don't touch your lineups"
One potential issue is that if you take out the golfers with NE tag you will not be able to select them anymore, even though they will play and rack up points...

But hell know wtf Yahoo is doing... and we never know, but definitely something to monitor...

Yeah, what's up with that? Yahoo is showing only 5x A , 13x B, and 11x C players for this week. Are we to believe only 29 people are playing in Phoenix??

I left my lineup unchanged from Monday's first pass, but it's unsettling to have 3 NE's sitting there...
