Michigan received 19 votes in the AP poll, while VT got 26. So... yeah.

Hoke is one of the most significant coaches on the hot seat this season, along with Muschamp.

But what about Michigan? Have they faded to obscurity? Are they now on par with Virginia Tech?

The offensive line is still a tire fire, but every other unit ranges from good to outstanding.

Unfortunately, the offensive line is the most important unit in the sport, so while the rest of the team is a 11-1 type of squad, Michigan will finish 8-4 or 9-3. Will lose to MSU, OSU, and one or two others, most likely Maryland, Notre Dame, or Utah.

So apparently the Penn State/USF opener that is scheduled to take place in Ireland might be canceled on account of volcano.

I wonder if that would be the first such instance of volcanic disruption of a college football game...

So the whole story about the USC player who sprained his ankles saving his nephew from drowning turned out to be a hoax. The player has been suspended after admitting the lie. While not quite as bizarre as the Manti Te'o fake girlfriend, it's still a head-scratcher...
