Erm, my understanding was that the collector did nothing particularly different than he was expected to, or at least what other collectors also did. Nothing I've ever read or heard suggested the collector was blameworthy in any way here. It was entirely Braun and his legal time finding a loophole, nothing more.

But make no mistake: Braun was caught; no "almost" about it.In his appeal, Braun didn't argue evidence of tampering and didn't dispute the science, but argued protocol had not been followed.

Only you could turn I don't have problems with something but you have to deal with the consequences of your actions if its against the rules into what you are turning it into. What if I said I have no problems with cocaine use, but if you get caught you gotta do the time and you are idiotic if you are being tested at work but keep doing them? You would like say something dumb like "I have no problem, but I have a problem".

Who would've thought the most successful of the A's Moneyball pitchers would've been Hudson? He was supposed to be the boring one - the right handed Mark Buehrle, give or take.
