  • It would be like slowing down racing so no crashes would ever result in injuries. Just plain silly. Yes the OBVIOUSLY blatant illegal hits should result in suspensions. But if there's a doubt, then it's just football.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

    • I hope James Harrison suffers a hit that paralyzes him from the next down. It's the kind of game he wants to play, I say he should be rewarded in kind for it.

I really hope he dies in a fire actually.

            • Bizarrely, in televised football in the UK, broadcasters will always cut away from streakers on the pitch but zoom in on mass brawls.

              • So... this is strange. Anyone know the last time a team had the top offense and the top defense? http://www.nfl.com/stats/team

Anyone know the last time said team also had a record of 2-4?

                  • Check this out... it's not just yards.

Among some notables on this comparison of the Chargers and their opponents...

Total Offensive Yards: Chargers: 2596 Opponents: 1531
                    Offense (Plays-average yards): Chargers: 400-6.5 Opponents: 351-4.4
Total first downs: Chargers: 144 Opponents: 86
Third down conversions: Chargers: 28/71 Opponents: 30/80
                    Touchdowns: Chargers: 19 Opponents: 14

The Chargers are 5th in Points For and 19th in Points Against. Their PF is 157; PA is 126 so a +31 point differential

In fact, only six teams have higher net points than the Chargers (the Eagles, Colts, Jets, Patriots, Steelers, and Titans)

Not only that but their 157 points makes them the 4th highest scoring NFL team so far. So it's really not just yardage. By points, the Chargers are behind only the Jets, Titans, and Colts.

Yeah I think the Chargers could very well be doing something unprecedented.

                    • For San Diego, "something unprecedented" would be performing up to expectations in the playoffs.

If they didn't play in the AFC West, their chances of even making the playoffs this year would be slim. Fortunately, they play in the AFC West.

Cutler crossed the plane on the sneek. Still ruled a fumble. Washington Recovers.
Next play, McNabb is sacked, fumbles the ball, but recovers it.
The next play after that, McNabb throws an int for a Bears TD. Flag. Delay of game. TD nullified. Ball back to Washington, who gets a first down on the next play. Blah.

                            • Wow. Anyone seeing the Chargers have the most retarded turnovers ever?

Receiver makes a catch, isn't touched, gets up without the ball and without the whistle being blown. Turnover

Rivers throws a backward pass to Jacob Hester who misses it, pauses, realizes it could count for a fumble but by then, it's already recovered and ran way down the field.

                              • Goddamn refs! Roethlisberger fumbled the ball short of the goalline, but it was ruled a TD, so they failed to determine who recovered the ball. It certainly seemed like the Dolphins had it, and one rose with the ball. After review, it was a fumble, but since they couldn't determine who had the ball, Steelers kept possession and kicked the winning FG. Dolphins had a last possession, but failed to move the ball. But it should have been a touchback!
