NFL - Are You Ready For Some Football?! - Off Season
They don't show that game here but remember, if there is a receiver in the area or the QB is out of the tackle box, he won't be charged.

Nobody anywhere near. Outside the tackle box, sure, but they do have to reach the line of scrimmage with the pass, unless that rule's changed for this year?
WTF does "Matriculating" have to do with what a running back does carrying the ball upfield??

The Giants are killing the Texans. That's what makes the Giants' 2-2 record so frustrating. This is clearly one of the best teams in the league.

Intentional Grounding of Forward Pass
1. Intentional grounding of a forward pass is a foul: loss of down and 10 yards from previous spot if passer is in the field of play or loss of down at the spot of the foul if it occurs more than 10 yards behind the line or safety if passer is in his own end zone when ball is released.
2. Intentional grounding will be called when a passer, facing an imminent loss of yardage due to pressure from the defense, throws a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion.
3. Intentional grounding will not be called when a passer, while out of the pocket and facing an imminent loss of yardage, throws a pass that lands at or beyond the line of scrimmage, even if no offensive player(s) have a realistic chance to catch the ball (including if the ball lands out of bounds over the sideline or end line).
Not that I should be shocked. That foul is probably the most undercalled foul, by percentage of times that it could be called, of all fouls...

Corrected.

It's funny seeing defenses fall for the Denver play-action and they're a sub-3 ypc rushing team. Go figure.
And I don't know, JRabbit... Kyle Orton seems like the real deal. I think the Bears might have screwed up big time. Do you think guys like Lloyd and Gaffney who have played with so many different teams and QB's over the years and have had blah careers are really elevating Orton's game? If Orton isn't really good, what is making him seem so good? It's not like he has real talent around him.

Umm... you act like the Giants can't run the ball.

They can run okay, sure, but they don't all too often in games like IND; and largely they set up the run with the Hakeem Nicks Deep Ball ™. Maybe the coaching is the problem

How the hell did Dwayne Bowe catch 90 passes as a rookie? He just dropped two easy ones in a row, including a gimme TD.
Really sad.
Nah. 70 as a rookie. 86 in his sophmore year.
Dwayne Bowe sucks but there's another answer... Damon Huard, Tyler Thigpen, and Brodie Croyle are all better QB's than Cassel
I don't know why they gave up on Thigpen. He played superbly for a rookie.

Cowher wants to coach for the Giants next year. I don't think Coughlin will be fired but considering he's the NFL's oldest coach if the writing is on the wall, he'll probably retire.

He's my hero. 14 years of getting a paycheck and he's not NFL caliber.
