So I guess Percy Harvin's stock is going to plummet til they get Sidney Rice on the field. Harvin was a non-factor early in the year but started racking up the yardage as soon as Moss showed up."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Brett Favre is one tough badass
Jrabbit, you hate on all the best players. This is all part of the entertainment and spectacle of the NFL"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

I saw this waiver order:
The Vikings have decided to end Randy Moss' brief second tenure in Minnesota just weeks after acquiring him from the New England Patriots, according to his agent and teammates.
What's interesting about it is it shows each team's schedule strength so far. I know the team in question's wins and losses have a strong effect on the opposition record this early in the year, but still interesting to note that the toughest schedule so far has been Buffalo's (.667) and the easiest was Kansas City (.380). KC's remaining schedule is a joke so I guess they're going to make the playoffs after all, even with their crappy QB and WR."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

The point is Randy Moss isn't some gangster. He's harmless. People act like Moss is such a problem and don't bat an eye at Donte Stallworth for killing someone."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Moss is harmless unless you're trying to win football games, show your kid how a professional behaves, or get some goddam fantasy production at a WR spot . The point is that most of us, I think, have a higher bar for "upstanding citizen" than "hasn't been convicted of a crime" or "didn't kill a guy." Moss is absolutely a real troublemaker in most situations, because he regularly behaves in ways that are counterproductive to his organization's goals. He's shown it everywhere he's been, even letting it come out a bit in New England. The same can be said for TO.
I don't know anybody who didn't bat an eye at the Stallworth affair, but those who fit that category, I suspect, either (a) aren't the same people complaining about Moss, or (b) simply don't give Stallworth much thought either way.Solomwi is very wise. - Imran Siddiqui

Vintage Mike Hart tonight. Run like a ****ing beast, secure the ball, and end the game on the bench with an ankle injury.

Reports say that the Vikings owner isn't happy wit letting Moss go. I'll say this much, if Childress made the trade and then cut Moss, I'd cut Childress. The other alternative would be the owner wanting Moss and Childress cutting him. Either way, Childress may beat Wade Phillips to the unemployment line.
T.O. is much worse than Moss.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

1. I'm from Chicago. Hating Favre is in the water here.
2. Favre is crap this year. A coach with any balls would have benched him by now.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

Randy Moss only plays to his full ability when he damn well feels like it. See his Oakland file.
Terrell Owens sows dissension on previously cohesive teams. See SF, Philly, Dallas (though he's much better behaved the past couple years).
I'm well aware of the whole "short career, cash in while you can" thing, but for guys like Randy and Terrell, that stopped applying long ago. I'm also aware that massive ego is part of being great. But it should not come at the expense of your team.
Of course, they are free to do as they wish, just as I am free to find some of their actions extremely annoying.
I admit to initially being surprised that the Bengals took on TO, but then I guess they've got plenty of experience dealing with Ochocinco. Plus they do seem to be a sort of rehab halfway house for a lot of the NFL's players - Cedric Benson being another prime example, and Larry Johnson's cameo last year...
