  • So, apparently the Vikings paid a third rounder for four games worth of Randy Moss...

Will he come back to Foxborough now?

Edit: Guess he has to go through waivers since it's after the deadline. This should be interesting...

      • Randy Moss, sign with the Bengals...

Even though it sounds like he wants to go back to the Patriots. Anyone catch his press conference?

How does that look though from an NFL competition standpoint... the Vikings trade a 3rd rounder to get him, then cut him, and he immediately signs with New England? The Pats get a 3rd rounder for just lending him for a couple games?

        • Maybe Dallas will pick up Moss so someone can actually catch Kitna's passes?

          • I guess we have an answer as to Sidney Rice's status. Guess he's coming back.

              • Here's yesterday's bizarre press conference:

That might have contributed to the cut.

                • Get this... Percy Harvin:

"In the second half they made a couple of adjustments, and I think we played into their hands," he said. "They were ready for a couple of our plays there in the second half. We didn't do a good job of making adjustments. That's why [Patriots coach Bill] Belichick is as good as he is. He makes those adjustments. They were able to pull it out."
Yeah can we officially say that Brad Childress has lost the team?

                  • No more than Belichick lost his team a few weeks ago. I think Moss is just Moss.

                    • Like a beat wife, Moss seems to want to go back to the Patriots, judging by that press conference. I can't imagine they would just bring him back after trading him, like some sort of parent "I guess you learned your lesson, didn't you, Randy?" Really bizarre situation.

If he doesn't end back in New England, what are some possibilities? St. Louis? Washington? Maybe even the Jets just for craziness?

                      • I'm not sure he's willing to play anywhere but NE at this point. And I'm not entirely sure that NE wants him back, even with an improved attitude (if it has improved).

                        • It's even more amusing now about the posts people made saying the Patriots were stupid for only getting a third.

                            • He has to clear waivers before he'd be a free agent. I believe waiver claims are due by 4pm Tuesday, and he would be awarded to the lowest-ranked team claiming.

But there's a good chance he'll clear waivers, since the claiming team would owe Mr. Moss about $6.5MM for the rest of the season. At that point, he could sign anywhere.

Childress is definitely in his last season coaching for the Vikes.

                              • Assuming no one claims him, the Vikes are due to pay $3.388 million, I'm hearing... 3rd round pick and $3.4 million for 174 yards and 2 TDs.
