That would be good. Oregon vs. TCU, Auburn vs. Boise. Right down the line. That being the assumption that it can't be TCU vs. Boise.

I don't know why reismark has Boise St. ranked over TCU. TCU's win today was more impressive than Boise, Oregon or even Auburn. The poll had Utah at 5. TCU thumped them. They beat the teams that are on the schedule.
He probably thinks Boise State would beat TCU if they were to play one another. Which, considering Boise State beat TCU last season, and has returned 21 starters from that game, is an eminently defendable position. (Same applies to Oregon, keep in mind.)
I'd love to see a rematch, personally. Either rematch, BSU-Oregon, BSU-TCU. Love to see a little four-team playoff. Sigh.

Okay, Imran, I understand you think OSU is better than Wisky. As I said, that may well be true.
But if both finish 11-1, are you still going to have OSU over Wisky? (I may have to put MSU back over Wisky if they win out, despite the... unpleasantness... at Iowa.)
Jesus, what a mess it will be if OSU, Wisky, and MSU all go 11-1. For sanity's sake, we must root for Iowa to beat the Buckeyes. Or for the resurrected Nittany Lions to win their "rivalry game" against the Spartans.

A&M is like two different teams. Every year they're like that though. They're pretty good or they suck, from week to week.

Um, maybe. Depends on how they do in the rest of their games... style points will matter .

Carry-over from last year. Only team that deserved to be ranked ahead of Boise at the start of the year was Bama. They lost twice and Boise has done absolutely nothing to merit being dropped.
And yes, I think if you match Boise and TCU again, Boise wins that matchup more often than not.

@ Oregon State losing to UCLA. Way to go, Beavers!
That does take some of the luster off of Boise and TCU's victories over them, though. Given their remaining schedule, the Beavs might very well end with a 5-7 record.

Really, numbers 2, 3, and 4 are almost interchangeable for me right now, but TCU gets major props for being the only undefeated team that has beaten a top 5 opponent.
Guy, I can assure you there won't be any looking past UGA this week. For one thing, we haven't beaten those ****ers since 2005. For another, in my 30+ years of watching Auburn football, I can't recall a single time we've looked past UGA to the Iron Bowl. They're only half a notch below Alabama on the hatred scale.
If the top two hold their ground, TCU and Boise State would be vying for the one automatic bid that goes to the highest-ranking team from the conferences without an automatic berth to the five big-money games — provided that team finishes in the top 12 of the standings.

Goddamn, I hate Saban. Miles is a ****ing lunatic (seriously, THAT is the play you call on 4th-and-1?), but he is entertaining as hell. I'm not sure my psyche could take him as a Wolverine head coach, but if his contract with the Devil was transferable to Ann Arbor, I'd be willing to consider it.
