As for the WAC, well... the less said, the better. Still, it's still eminently possible (and appears quite likely this season) that Boise State is the best team in the land.
Saying that the MWC has been right up there with the two BCS conferences that have already removed themselves from the title picture this year isn't quite defending Ben's statement that the WAC and MWC are the strongest conferences in the nation this year. To be honest, I've held the Big East in as much contempt as I do the WAC and MWC for some time (just one more reason Ben's jackass attempt to go behind what I post and "read my mind" is way off base).

    • When the smoke clears at the end of the season, neither a Big 10 nor Pac 10 team will be at #1. If BCS wants to use either as fill-in until then, fine.

You think Oregon loses a game?

              • Ducks roll over UCLA 60-13. I'd say they made a bit of a statement tonight...

I really ought to be trusting my first instincts when it comes to that team...

                              • I'm still confident that Auburn's going to prevail, but man, was that no-call on the LSU touchdown before the half a load of crap.
