Oklahoma an impressive win today.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

THE GOOD
Denard Robinson had 502 yards of total offense. Let me say that again. 502 yards of total offense. Breaking his own school record, set just last week. Also, over 250 yards rushing, also breaking his own one-week-old school record for a quarterback. Plus, he calmly and efficiently led the game winning drive. Despite some poor throws in the third quarter, this was as impressive a performance from a Michigan player I've ever seen.
No turnovers again! Robinson fumbled once, but Michigan recovered.
Once again, the offensive line was dominant.
THE BAD
The Wolverines never should have been in the position of needing that last-minute TD drive. They lacked a killer instinct when they had the Irish at their mercy, and it nearly cost them the game.
Other than Robinson, there was no offense. Dropped passes, penalties, no running backs stepping up... it was the D-Rob and OL show, and everyone else just stood around and watched.
The playcalling, especially in the second half up until the final drive, was often baffling.
Penalties, penalties, penalties! Only one last week; a gazillion this week, including several 15-yarders. That can happen again with the Big Ten schedule coming up.
THE UGLY
Oh, holy ****, that secondary. How in god's name does a TIGHT END get behind the entire defense, and then outrace the entire defensive backfield for a 95 yard touchdown? Honestly, I think the secondary has given me cancer, it is that bad. If I were as bad at my job as Greg Robinson (D-coordinator) is at his, Columbus would be littered with the rotting corpses of misdiagnosed and wrongly treated children.
As bad as the secondary was, the special teams are worse. Hard to believe, but there it is. I knew they'd be bad this year, but holy ****. The best player on special teams? ****ing Denard Robinson, who pooch punted to the 4 yard line.
Brace yourselves, fellow Wolverines fans. Michigan will be a (wholly undeserved) Top 25 team this week, and will likely run its record to 5-0 (and a Top 15 ranking) before it all comes crashing down. Not to overlook UMass next week, as they are one of the best teams in the FCS, and would love to add an overconfident Wolverine pelt to its wall.Last edited by Guynemer; September 11, 2010, 21:54."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

Alabama is too scary good (well, so far this season). For that matter, same goes for Oregon.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Most impressive wins:
Alabama
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Oregon
Stanford
South Carolina
Least impressive wins:
Michigan
USC
West Virginia
Auburn
Most of the big games were rather disappointing; the only close one, Mich-ND, was plagued by sloppy play and poor playcalling. Not many impressive games on the schedule next week."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

Next week is headlined by
Georgia Tech at North Carolina
Arkansas at Georgia
Nebraska at Washington
Air Force at Oklahoma
Arizona State at Wisconsin
Iowa at Arizona
BYU at Florida State
Clemson at Auburn
Texas at Texas Tech
Boise State at Wyoming
Notre Dame at Michigan State
A lot of meh games, unlikely any of them will feature two ranked teams. I'll take home teams again except for Nebraska, Iowa, BYU, Texas, and Boise State."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

Tennessee is... not good. Damn shame they rotated off our schedule this year. Still, Oregon looked good, Boris.
Best thing I saw at the game last night (besides James' 74 yard TD run) was an Oregon fan with a banner that said, "WE HATE LANE KIFFIN, TOO!"Tutto nel mondo è burla
