MINNEAPOLIS - Sunday's Vikings game against the New York Giants has been postponed until Monday.
NFL VP of Operations Michael Signora said Saturday night, "due to severe weather in Minnesota and on recommendation of Dome officials, NYG-Min moved to Monday night."
Earlier on Saturday, the Giants team plane was diverted to Kansas City, where they spend the night. The game was scheduled for Sunday at noon at the Metrodome. The game will now be played on Monday night.
All runways at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport were closed until about 3 p.m. Saturday. Crews could not keep up with accumulating and blowing snow on taxiways and runways, so no planes can safely navigate the airfield.
