But it wouldn't change anything other than getting AG the place in history he earned. The final score would still be 3-0. The only substantive difference would be that the "28th out" never happened. I do see your point and as I said in my post, I have mixed emotions on this one. Following the rules, or righting a wrong... both have good arguments behind them. With that being the case, I would simply prefer they follow the rules, since that is the one constant.Keep on Civin'

Anything that changes (rules, replay usage) should ONLY be forward-going. Gallaraga is doomed to having the most famous unrecognized perfect game in history on his record.
Just as I grew up hearing the story of Harvey Haddix, future baseball historians will tell this tale for years to come. Which is as it should be.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

Maybe he doesn't know why. Maybe he thought he was correct at the time of the call. Evidently he thought so.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

So if it was "juggled" and that was the reason for the call, that would be an E-1.
So even if you're right (which I do not concede), it's still a bad call.Last edited by -Jrabbit; June 5, 2010, 09:33.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

It was a bad call. There's no one in baseball calling it a correct call.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
