I think since I picked most his players, and since he is absentee, that I should just pick off his best players to add them to my team. At this point, I think the best thing for them is to hold a fire-sale of their best players so they can begin rebuilding for the future.

I think since you're only a 1/2 game ahead of him, he should get to cannibalize your team

and thats quite a traffic jam above the .500 line
