How do people still not get what you are doing, NGR?

I have a question. Who is the bigger idiot? The idiot that says something, or the idiot that parrots the idiot?

Precisely so.

Besides, you can't expect me to actually pay attention to all of the lunacy posted here. I keep up with about 2/3 of it, that's as much as can be expected with my workload...
edit: Nope, rereading the thread those are serious. So, I stand by my comment. Thanks for the laugh When the day comes that the ACC is the top conference in NCAA Football, watch for the apocalypse, because it will soon be nigh.
Come on, seriously. THREE national championship contenders, a fourth team which is pretty damn good when it remembers to bring its defense on the bus, and a respectable undercard. I call that better than "several 7-8 win teams" any day of the week, particularly when you look at the teams played in non-conference (not to mention in-conference...) Big 12, SEC, Pac-10, then the rest, as far as I'm concerned. (Usually the Big 10 is in that mix, but even I can't justify that this year. Bleck.)

You're delusional. I think they have treatment for that now.

Like I said, you aren't getting it. NGR is posting Sagarin's computer rankings.

Why are so many people high on the ACC? I mean, Virginia Tech and Boston College played for the Conference Championship. Powerhouses, they are not
And before anyone brings up Mizzou playing in the Big 12 game, I'd just like to point out that Mizzou could have handed Va Tech's and BC's asses to them were they to play, as could Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and, on a good day, Kansas. And, on a REALLY good day, possibly Baylor.
Let's compare the bottom halves of the conferences:
ACC:
Miami (7-5)
Wake Forest (7-5)
Clemson (7-5)
North Carolina State (6-6)
Virginia (5-7)
Duke (4-8)
Big XII:
Kansas (7-5)
Colorado (5-7)
Kansas State (5-7)
Baylor (4-8)
Texas A&M (4-8)
Iowa State (2-10)
In terms of depth the ACC wins. That may or may not matter to some because the top isn't all that impressive, but I think either Clemson, Wake Forest, or Miami could have their way with the bottom 6 of the Big XII. Though of course, on top, there is no contest the Big XII wins.
And even if you put the ACC 2nd behind the Big XII, people would howl, saying they are placed too high.

This isn't really a contrast of the ACC and the Big 12. They're roughly on par. This year, it's a big drop-off from the ACC and Big 12 to the SEC.

Quite true. Georgia Tech just beat Georgia and Clemson destroyed South Carolina. And the low end of the SEC has looked HORRIBLE (Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Miss State).

Remember, though, that the bottom half of the Big 12 had to play the top half of the Big 12- that's where quite a few of their losses came from, after all.
Surely you aren't saying that the top tier of the ACC is on par with the top tier of the Big 12, are you? Or for that matter, the top tier of the SEC?
