Zetterberg had an amazing goal: he got spun around 180 degrees and still managed to knock a backhand shot in.

According to the Detroit News, Franzen is the 6th player in NHL history to score two hat tricks in a series (last was Jarri Kurri in '85).

He also ties franchise records for hat tricks in a series and postseason.

His 9 goals this series broke Gordie Howe's franchise record of 8. His 11 playoff goals broke the franchise record of 10 in a postseason (Petr Klima, Sergei Federov, Brett Hull), and only through 2 rounds. Hopefully he'll have two more rounds to pad that total.

Playoffs didnt used to last 4 rounds. I'd have to look it up, but it could be that he only played 2 rounds, and was shutout of the 2nd or 1st round.

Took Howe 7 games to score that many too. Franzen only needed 4.

Did it say that Gordie scored 8 against Montreal? I didn't see it.

He had 9 playoff goals in the Cup season of 54-55, but had 5 in the final, so it wasn't that season.

Also 9 in 63-64, when they beat the Blackhawks in 7 gms, but lost to the Leafs in 7. I didn't see a series breakdown.
