          GO STATE

Sorry Illinois fans. You can kick a Spartan out of an Illinois civ game but you can't beat the Spartans on the B-Ball court.

As March is here, it's finally time to start watching college basketball. Is the regular season over with yet?

              Another week, NGR.

Congrats to the Spartans on winning the Big 10 or 11.

They are #4 in RPI - they still might get a #1 seed.

And remember where the FINAL 4 are being played this year.

                  Hail to the Victors!

                  Meeeeechigan 67, Minnesota 64

Got a win on the road, back to .500 in conference, 19-12 overall. Might be going back to the Big after years in the wilderness!!!!

A win or two in the Big Ten tourney wouldn't hurt.

Well, the Madness has well and truly begun: 'Cuse in 6 OT's over arch-rival UConn! This is a real gut-check win for Syracuse, and will probably push them up and out of the dreaded 5 seed position for the tourney.

Indeed, that game was madinsane... though I prefer multi-OT games where people MAKE shots to send it into another OT, not miss them

Michigan won its game yesterday in convincing fashion, now has to beat the Illini, which will be tough... if they don't win I think they're out of the tourney, if they do win I think they're in. Although I suppose if they make it close and both Penn State and Minnesota lose badly, they might have a chance; but I think winning will be necessary.

That was one hell of a game last night. The shot that didn't count, that started the string of OT's looked good in real time, but sure enough, in slow mo, you could see just HOW CLOSE IT WAS.
It was the type of game that really gets in you in the spirit for March Madness...

They also have 8 from the B10, which would be nice but seems like it might be something where the folks making the decisions decide is too many...

It was the awesomeness. I don't normally watch college basketball, but I was transfixed. After the 5th OT, I had to go home from the bar because it was heading to 1 AM, and I had to come to work the next morning!

But I do have to hurry home from work to see the starts of lots of games.
