That surprises me given the initial reports of the injury. Doctors and physio people are working wonders if that's the case.

Ah well, I took him as a third dman before the freak accident led to increased ice time. He didn't seem to do a lot with it. I'll console myself with the thought that he was 9th in goals last year for defencemen (15) and logging a lot of ice time while playing on the team with Boyle.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota's starting goalie Niklas Backstrom suffered a groin injury in practice Saturday and the Wild recalled goaltender Nolan Schaefer from the Houston Aeros, their AHL affiliate.

Backstrom will not dress for Sunday's game against the Colorado Avalanche, the Wild said in a statement.

Having created most of it, I would suggest that means he has less of a reason to watch it, with fewer players of interest for him, or fewer players that he is unaware of.

Thats unexpected-- Although Colorado is not my favorite opponent for getting good goalie stats, I have precisely nothing to lose by playing Harding tomorrow
