    • In retrospect, I prefer the St Louis for Hasek/Osgoode trade more than the St Louis for Nabokov we discussed. Especially after tonight.

        • Change your benches if you wish, gents.

On Sunday I'll move the players back to complete the trades. They'll be there for Monday.

Sorry for the hassle, but at least we know what that button does and there should be no need to wait for Yahoo to complete trades in future. PM me if I am not paying attention and I can press the accelerator.

          • Yesterday Yahoo had Zetterberg with one goal and +5, today it's two goals and +2. The new stats actually work better for me, but way to be accurate, StatTracker.

Yup Detroit handed SJ their asses on a platter

BUt you need two roster spots to get ALL of Detroits wins. I need one roster spot to get 95%+ of San Jose's wins. I still believe SJ is underperforming and will win a lot (probably not as much as detroit but still pretty good). As it stands nabokov still compares well-- Trails 8-5 in wins but has one shutout to none and a sv% comparable to the average of your duo

All that said I think you made a better trade for you-- you have the roster space for more goalies-- I already have my one team duo

On my end while I like St Louis over Tkachuk-- I liked Nabokov over Kolzig by a wider margin--Although I did toy briefly with the idea of making both trades

Not really-- Haven't you been flogging him as trade bait since about 15 seconds after you got him??

Not a bad player but a quick look revealed at least half a dozen d men with better stats and just as much upside

It is likely he will miss 10-20 games based on his track record-- Its a risk I take
Kolzig has historically been far more durable but he's not exactly a young guy either

Since about 15 seconds after Boyle had the freak accident. His ToI is way up this year and it is only a matter of time...

However, my question was really more of a round-about ironic statement than anything else.

                        .
I forget -- when is Boyle due back anyway? I can go look for it but just wondered if you knew off-hand

                        • I was curious enough to look it up

The answer seems to be NOW-- so wouldn't that TOI go down

Oct 26 Boyle (wrist) may not return Saturday but on the Lightning's upcoming road trip which starts next week, reports the St. Petersburg Times.
Recommendation: The Bolts have had a heavy sked this week so Boyle hasn't had a chance to practice enough to get comfortable. Keep him reserved for now; we doubt he'll be on the ice Saturday.

Oct 21 Boyle is ready to resume practicing this coming week and could return to the lineup shortly. The defenseman underwent wrist surgery on Sept. 23 after he was hurt in a freak locker room accident the previous night following a preseason loss to Washington. "He's close," Lightning coach John Tortorella said. "We got a real good report from the doctor." Boyle is coming off an impressive regular season in which he played all 82 games, recording 20 goals and 43 assists.

Why would they lie about it?- The seem pretty certain he will be back pretty soon
