      Oregon is ranked pretty highly. I haven't watched them (even during the Michigan game) to compare against BC, so can't really judge.

      Also, BC didn't look so hot against VT. To be fair, sometimes good QBs can look pedestrian against good defenses. I'm reminded of Brady Quinn against UCLA last year -- while Quinn against UCLA looked slightly better than BC's QB this year, it's pretty analogous, especially since BC won on the road while Quinn won at home.

                    These would be the BCS matchups if the season ended today.

                    NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: Ohio State v. Boston College
                    ROSE BOWL: Arizona State v. Michigan
                    ORANGE BOWL: Virginia Tech v. Oregon
                    FIESTA BOWL: Kansas v. Connecticut
                    SUGAR BOWL: LSU v. Oklahoma

                    - Ohio State & Boston College are #1 & #2.
                    - Arizona State, Kansas & LSU get plugged in according to traditional conference ties.
                    - The Rose takes Michigan to maintain its traditional Pac-10/Big Ten matchup.
                    - The Orange takes Virginia Tech first to maintain its traditional ACC association.
                    - Final allotment order is Orange, Fiesta, Sugar.
                    - Orange takes best team left (Oregon).
                    - Fiesta cannot take Oklahoma since it would create Big 12 v. Big 12 matchup; instead, Fiesta takes Connecticut (who must get in).
                    - Sugar takes best team left with last spot (Oklahoma).

                    Weird, huh?

                    Hawaii doesn't have a guaranteed spot yet since they're not ahead any of the conference champions in the rankings; they either need to get to #12 in the rankings or hope that an upset happens in one of the conference title games.

                      Glennon leads Hokies to win in opposition colors

                      Sean Glennon wore a Georgia Tech jersey. There was no doubt he was playing for Virginia Tech.

                      Wearing a replacement jersey provided by the home team when his own disappeared, Glennon threw two long touchdown passes and ran for another score to lead No. 11 Virginia Tech to a 27-3 win over Georgia Tech on Thursday night.


                      If this was the NFL, his wallet and his team's wallet would be about to become a lot lighter.
