See, that's the sort of thing i'm talking about You either trust us to determine Tingkai doesn't know anything, in which case the factual arguments speak for themselves, or you don't think we'll come to that conclusion based on the facts, either because you're (partially) wrong, or because you think we're idiots who won't figure it out ourselves, so you tell us what to think about Tingkai.

Either way nobody thinks more of you for saying things like that

Well for me, there is a reason that they play the games. I would not say that 6 positions are locked up-- although I do have a certain amount of sympathy for the view since I know it is shared by many

But if you look around (I just did a quick look for hockey predictions), you can find all sorts of predictions. The two most common I see are predictions that see Colorado and St Louis elevated into playoff spots

It seems that Nashville gets dropped out the most while Calgary gets dropped a fair bit as well and Dallas

For me, the only teams in the west that would absolutely SHOCK me if they didn't make the playoffs are Anaheim and Detroit. There are a number of others that I really expect to be there but crazy things can happen in a season ( Imagine your Vancouver prediction if Luongo had a serious injury that would sideline him for 4 months)

The goalies projected as the very best are gone but there's still a heck of a lot of pretty good ones out there.

If you were so worried about goalies you could have led with one and then had to "make do" with at WORST your 13th and 14th ranked skaters--

Instead you will have to muddle by with the pre-eminent scorer in the league

My proposed plan of action

1. Chug along
2. One to 2 days before the season begins I will panic and exclaim " Why didn't anyone notice this won't be done in time. What will we do ?"
