Yeah... lengthy holdout; and I hope the Bears stick to there guns too. Franchise him and he sits for what? 8, 12 games in protest? Then once he's back, suspend him for the remander of the season for not following his contract. Franchise him again next year. Rinse lather repeat. Perhaps then this goddam premodonnas would stop ruining football!

NFL a hot ticket in London
First regular-season game overseas selling well

LONDON (AP) -- The first regular season NFL game outside North America is shaping up as a hot ticket.

The first 40,000 tickets for the Oct. 28 game between the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants at the new Wembley Stadium sold in 90 minutes Wednesday.

"The speed in which such a large number of tickets were snapped up ... demonstrates the great excitement and appetite for the game in this country," said Alistair Kirkwood, managing director of NFL UK. "We know that the last few tickets available in this first batch will be gone very soon."

The first batch of tickets went to fans in Britain and the rest of Europe selected randomly from registered ticket requests.

Sales in the United States to Giants and Dolphins fans are expected to begin within a week. Further tickets will be released to fans in Britain next month.

About 10,000 fans are expected to travel from the United States, a fraction of the anticipated sellout crowd of 90,000.

Prices range from about US$90 (euro66.50) to US$180 (euro133), using a pricing structure similar to this weekend's FA Cup final between Manchester United and Chelsea.

That list is remarkably non-stupid, actually. Usually people are terrible at that sort of thing.

I'd put the Cardinals higher. Superstar quarterback in second year usually makes for a mega-improvement.

But it's the Cardinals. Did they improve their OL?

First draft pick - Levi Brown, who will play right tackle. They also got rid of Alex Stepanovich, who was pretty much the worst center of all time, replacing him with Nick Leckey, who's decent. Taitusi Lutui (an old USC classmate of Leinart's) is coming on nicely at guard. When they put him into the lineup last year, the run blocking went from godawful to decent in a matter of a couple of weeks. Edge ran for about 2.8 yards per carry before Lutui was in, and around 3.9 or so afterwards.

They should end up with one above-average player, a couple of decent players, and a couple of below-average players starting on the line. Nothing special, but enough that Leinart should be able to create a seriously good offense.

Atlanta had a good draft, but they're going down. There's too much distraction and it keeps building.
