Well the coaches talked all week about the need to be physical but the flames weren't. Frankly they got dominated in every aspect of the game. The only positive was that Kipper was amazing and thats hardly a wondeful thing to say when the opposition scores four.Originally posted by Asher

As I have said all along I don't think Playfair's failures are anything to do with his systems and gameplans and they have everything to do with his seeming inability to motivate and inspire. Tonight I saw offensively talented Red Wings backchecking EXTREMELY hard when the score was 4-0. There's no way any player on the Wings is going to accept being on the second 1st place team to bow out to an 8th that goes to the Finals. Them being the first such team last year is a special gift from the Oilers to the Flames.

This year I had the second pick. Briere goes first. The smart move for me, if I wanted a Sabre, would have been to Drury. Maybe Vanek can erase last year and prove he's a playoff sniper, but it's a big gamble.Golfing since 67Comment
