    Habs have had too many captains since then.

    Carboneau, Muller, Keane, Turgeon, Damphousse, Koivu, if I'm not wrong.

    Atleast Koivu's been captain a while

                      Modano scores 500th in Stars' win

                      Leave it to Mike Modano to try to sneak in one of the biggest moments of his career. The unassuming superstar's 500th career goal ended up being the winner in a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. "For him to do it here was perfect," said Darryl Sydor, Modano's longtime teammate.

                          Smid and Jacques hurt in collision in practice. Horcoff is out with flu (has lost 10 or 15 pounds over the last week).

                                The Flames?!


                                Man the Flames sucked in Denver last night. It was an exciting game as there were lots of good scoring opportunities . .. unfortunately they were all on Kipper. The Flames just got dominated.

                                In fairness, the Avs have been very very good lately but that should not matter. The true test of a team is that if they are a very good team, they will beat some of the other very good teams

                                The lack of intensity by the Flames is very troubling. THe only good thing that can be said is that the Flames should be better rested going into the final weeks and the playoffs. Its not like they are playing a grinding style any more
