    • The 3rd Blues try in the Blues/Force game was a bit of a shocker...the ball boy handed a Blues player another ball while the one that was kicked out was being retrieved and a try was run in before anyone knew what hit them. The ref didn't see what happened, and the touch judge said all was ok. This meant the Blues got a bonus point after scoring their next try, which could be important...

      • Oh, and I wonder how long it's been since the Chiefs last beat the Crusaders - let alone in Christchurch.

        • First win over the Crusaders since 1998, first time Crusaders have lost at home in 26 matches.

Heard about the Blues' bogus try. Not a surprise. The officiating this season has been dreadful.

          • Wish I'd watched the whole match now. Leicester -v- Bristol was shown on delay here, at around midnight last night. I watched till half time. Looked like Leicester were going to burst the game open. Not so, apparently. I've liked Bristol every time I've seen them this year. They're not too many players away from being very good.

            • If I remember correctly, there has never been a South African Super 12/14 winner. Well, the best chance they ever had is coming right up with both semi-finals being played in South Africa.

And how about those Reds? What a pitiful team they must be. Hardly worthy as a practice match by the sounds of it.

              • If the Boks can bring their talents together in the Test team, they could be very good. The Sharks and Bulls are playing some great tough, fast and skillful rugby.

The Reds have been murdered by injury this season. It's also a very young team - the halves are 18 and 19 years old. They'll get better.

A fantastic spoiling side – they slow the game down superbly. They also have one monster winger and one whippet winger that are most impressive.

And they also lost quite comfortably to a thoroughly misfiring Tigers side. They need a better stand off and a different midfield and then they might be very good indeed.

It probably doesn’t help them to have a 38 year old Welsh man in the boiler room either.

Two visits to Twickenham in the next two weeks – and either a historic treble or crushing disappointments awaits.

Yes indeed. They also seem extremely disciplined. R. Hill seems to have extracted the best from them. Maybe he has a future at higher levels.

                      Fingers crossed. *cough*

                      • At this rate we'll finish this thread in plenty of time for the RWC. How about a rather obvious choice for the next thread title:

                        • Mmmm. I'm sure Havak can find a good reason why this is not a good title, but I can't.

                          • It's taken us about four months to get this far in this thread. The World Cup starts on September 7th. That's four months away. How far through the thread will we get before the comp starts? Bear in mind that, after Leicester shortly lose to Wasps, Havak will swear off rugby, thus we can't count on his posts.

I'm upset enough you are crossing your fingers for that Wasps win. Do you really want Dayglo winning anything else?

                              • There's a concept called the lesser of two evils.

Besides, having since checked out the BBC site, I've realised you'll be too busy filling in for H. Ellis to post here.
