Let's face reality here. The Republicans have become a white nativist protestant religious party who objects to immigration as a whole because the people who are immigrating are not white Anglo-Saxon protestants. As a white Anglo-Saxon protestant this is obvious to me. They hate blacks, they hate Hispanics, they hate Asians... In fact fear of the "other" has been the defining feature of the Republican platform for the last 50 years.

It must be a golden age for you liberals. The GOP is falling by the way side, and independents are ignored anyways, so that the one party system can be brought into full swing.
What I get most from liberals is how stupid anyone not liberal is. Or how retarded the GOP is, that it needs to fade away. But then when you call the liberals out on being socialist they cry and whine and plead that it isn't true. So why so dead set on a one party ruling system? Why so dead set on the right side of the house fading away? If you are all so open to bipartisan government, why then do you wish that right wing citizens would just shut their mouths and fall in line? I dare someone to give me a straight answer."The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the Blood of Patriots and tyrants" Thomas Jefferson

16th Amendment does allow for Congress to create and issue taxes, but the Bill of Rights is pretty clear that the government will not infringe upon life, liberty, or personal property.
2) Later amendments supersede earlier amendments. Duh. And the 16th Amendment was ratified over 100 years after the Bill of Rights.
And as a side not, can you give me the exact law that requires us to file a 1040 and pay income tax?
26 USC 6011:
(a) General rule
When required by regulations prescribed by the Secretary any person made liable for any tax imposed by this title, or with respect to the collection thereof, shall make a return or statement according to the forms and regulations prescribed by the Secretary. Every person required to make a return or statement shall include therein the information required by such forms or regulations.
I do believe in the Constitution, I don't know where you miss read that. I said the government is violating it, so many politicians break their oaths everyday with some of the laws they are passing.
And your conclusion was that it's therefore okay for everyone too, including the states. So no, you don't believe in the Constitution.
Alternatively, you do believe in the Constitution and therefore agree that AZ doesn't have the power to do what it's trying to.
The interesting thing about politics and opinion, is that in place of a solid defense to debating the opposition slander is often used. I have gotten little support in my view to this issue, and much slander. Guess it's a good thing none of you are politicians.
You've gotten little support because you're wrong; you've gotten many insults because you persist in being wrong even after we've proved it.

Nobody is dead-set on a one-party system. Except Karl Rove.
We wish the right-wing would quit being a bunch of whiny cry-babies. Once you quit being a bunch of sissies, you're more than welcome to join the rest of us again.John Brown did nothing wrong.

Of course my personal opinion is that a southerner is forever a traitor and should be executed no matter what. Hanging is to good for the scum. This explains why southerns are dog **** who should be killed as the dog **** they are.Last edited by Dinner; June 23, 2009, 08:20.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

The Founders were unusually explicit in leaving matters of naturalization and regulating non-naturalized aliens within the federal power, and it wasn't by accident. If you don't like it, amend it.

For someone who claims to have sworn an oath to defend the Constitution, it appears you still need a 9th-grade-level understanding of how a federalist system's dual sovereignty works. I sincerely hope that you're not a representative sample of our military as a whole, because your total ignorance of the Constitution you defend seriously makes me question my own intentions to serve.Last edited by Darius871; June 23, 2009, 08:40.

Ouch. That was an ugly beating.

It reminds me a little bit of Kaak's "boycott the oil company" thread.
Except this one is probably worse.

Your overstepping your bounds now. You cannot dictate to someone what they do or do not believe in. The Constitution was made before the federal government was. The Constitution are the set in stones guide lines that our country will abide by. See I am what you might call a Constitutionalists, a traditionalist. The Constitution has been amended over time to recognize changes in time, but these later amendments that take power from the people and place it in the hands of the federal government are illegal. Ever read a book called Animal Farm?
The government, the presidency, and all under offices are for the people, by the people. There for, with-in reason *as in not intelligence and military files* all actions are able to be scrutinized by the populous. Ever wonder why people are pissed that the Fed doesn't divulge information? Or why there is a big deal over Obama failing to show the people his birth records *not that worthless birth certificate*? Transparency. The people are over the government, the politicians are elected by their constituents into a public service position. Transparency. The left side of the house like less transparency in their actions. The right side like less transparency over their military and intelligence operations. And both side like less transparency over anything that involves them getting money.
Your not getting yourself anywhere. All you keep doing in trying to tell me what I believe. I spent 14 years in Catholic schools and after 14 years I still say to any one's face that I have to, there is no god. You can say what you want, but it doesn't make it fact."The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the Blood of Patriots and tyrants" Thomas Jefferson

The utter pwnage of zaku gets worse and worse.... especially when he, it appears, attempted to say that the Bill of Rights supercedes later Amendments to the Constitution“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

You guys got a lot to say, some points good and some points just ****ing retarded. I catch flak every way I turn, but hell that's what I am, a bullet magnet. The same thing is said over and over again, that I don't know what I am talking about. That what I am saying is wrong. From what I can piece together is that your way of reading the Bill of Rights and the Constitution is right, and mine is wrong. Each amendment can be read any way you want to read it. Right to bear arms, but only this many and of this type, and only this many bullets at a time, and etc. With every right your willing to give up is one step in the wrong direction.
Say what you want about my oath, I know what I stand for and what I believe in. Even though I would have to defend dip-****s like all of you, I still swore an oath and I would still follow it today. But just think, you wanna slam a soldier or soldiers on their beliefs...the day you need them you'll be begging to apologize."The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the Blood of Patriots and tyrants" Thomas Jefferson

No, we'll still say your beliefs are retarded.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
