This song was big enough to make it across the pond in 1998 - which I think was still kinda unusual for a song with hip-hop elements back then (when most Brits were listening to club music, house music, or recovering from grunge indie) but I took an immediate dislike to it. Ten years on, it's something I listen to for the memories. Cramped first-year dorms, moonlit games of field hockey on the green, papers that never got written until the last minute...
Texas are a Scottish band so not that unusual it'd be over here?
And I was listening to lots of Method Man/Wu-Tang from '94 on, there were loads of huge hip-hop hits in the top 10 in the 80s/90s. Maybe it just depended where you went and who you hung around with.

Jon Miller: MikeH is a shockingly revolting dolt and a masturbatory urine-reeking sideshow freak whose word is as valuable as an aging cow paddy. We've got both kinds
not sure if anyone in this thread even listens to metal. But there are not one, but two slutty women in this video if you like that sort of things. One small part isn't work safe (nothing too major)
next band was way ahead of their time. If you haven't heard these guys you are missing out. Was going to post we care alot, but decided on this one

Sex on Fire (God I hate that song, but it will irrevocably be tied to writing my ****ty dissertation)
had these two american guys (from kalamazoo, michigan) staying over last night. really cool guys, we spent the evening drinking some beers, smoking some doobs, playing some guitar and talking about everything and nothing. they're over here touring with their band 'who are the owls' (sadly not on youtube, or indeed on the internet at all as far as i can see, although they've given me a cd so i may put some stuff up). some top quality acoustic numbers on there. they also played a few covers, including a version of this, which far surpassed the original.
