    They attempted an insurrection.

US President Donald Trump says he has signed a full and unconditional pardon for Ross Ulbricht, who operated Silk Road, the deep web marketplace where illegal drugs were sold.
Ulbricht was convicted in 2015 in New York in a narcotics and money laundering conspiracy and sentenced to life in prison.
Trump posted on his Truth Social platform that he had called Ulbricht's mother to inform her that he had granted a pardon to her son.
Silk Road, which was shut down in 2013 after police arrested Ulbricht, sold illegal drugs using the virtual currency Bitcoin, as well as hacking equipment and stolen passports.

"The scum that worked to convict him were some of the same lunatics who were involved in the modern day weaponization of government against me," Trump said in his post online. "He was given two life sentences, plus 40 years. Ridiculous!"

Wow... so many trying so hard to make something- anything.... from nothing. It just shows how empty your arguments really are. Sit back and watch before you whine.

Btw... all your crying for the last several years is why Trump is back. I mean really, think about it.

No one was ever charged with insurrection as no such insurrection ever occurred. The vast, vast, vast majority simply did simple trespass AFTER the capital police opened the doors and let people enter. I personally would like to see anyone who hit a cop stay for a full sentence but it is clear they were wildly over sentenced in most cases. We see leftists rioting in government buildings several times a year yet no one ever gets harsh sentences and most don't get arrested. We also saw leftist groups at the BLM/Antifa riots routinely committing violent crimes such as arson and murder and attacking police yet they mostly got weak slaps on the wrist. I would like to see an equal application of the law here.

Justice Department unleashed what one of its top lawyers called a ‘shock and awe’ campaign, and they just scooped up hundreds of people. They often demanded really excessive sentences. Most of these people were charged with just trespass or unlawful entry. Most of them were not violent. The government tended to oppose bail, they kept a number of them for a very long time in segregation. In some cases, they demanded limitations on what people could say or read or associate with after they were released. All of this tended to undermine their case.

              liberal hypocrisy.

Fox News is told that multiple career staffers in the criminal and national security divisions at the DOJ were removed from their current posts and reassigned.
While it is difficult to fire a career person "just because," reassigning is possible, and that appears to have happened.

Finally - these corrupt individuals were the true threats. Biden will be remembered for this.

                    • You could look up what they were actually charged with, you know. For their attempt to prevent the lawful, peaceful, democratic transition of power.

                      • As usual, MWHC is just spouting the normal anti Biden BS with no proof to back anything up.
And, while ignoring that Trump is a convicted felon.
