An ass-ass-ination of Putin would make him a triple ass. At least.

Scott Horton doesn't think it was an assassination attempt, just a message to Putin and morale boost for Ukrainians. All depends on what was onboard, the explosion was from fuel when the wing was torn off by the flagpole. I hope they dont find "made in USA" on it and a large explosive that failed to detonate.

The flag pole blew up the drone and of course it was an assassination attempt, the flag pole got it in the way.

It happens a lot. Increasingly, in my view. Just an observation.

I'm really just hoping for a little more cohesion in the thread. Makes for easier reading.
I didn't quote him, he responded to my comment about Nuland

"Crimea, as an internationally recognized part of Ukraine, has always been a legitimate target."

Okay... I didn't argue otherwise, I just dont see why its relevant to my theory Nuland was warning Russia.

What does your comment have to do with my theory? Who provoked whom and when is irrelevant to what I said. I didn't say Nuland was provoking Russia, I said she was letting them know Crimea was a target for a reason, 'controlled escalation'.

    What is your reasonable theory?

    to the last Ukrainian

The government Ukrainians voted for was overthrown in a coup 8 years ago and Ukrainians who rejected the coup were attacked by Nazis with our backing. I believe our victims have the moral high ground and Putin is defending them. This invasion would not have happened if A) Trump won, and B) there was no 8 year long war in the Donbas backed by Nato.

Why would the drone need to launch from Ukraine to be Ukrainian? Anyone with a drone could mount a grenade or can of petrol on it to make the explosion seen. Including Ukrainian commando / special ops. I am not saying it was, but a launch from Ukraine is clearly not required for a Ukrainian offensive here. Caveat on my comment - I have no sense of how big the drone in the footage would be, which may be a limiter.

Claimed range of the claimed drone = 500 miles
Distance from Kiev to Moscow = 535 miles
Likelihood this was a Ukrainian attack = pretty damned tiny.

If they tried it on Trump it would be more likely to work

    In recent days

Several Russian cities have announced they will scale back this year's Victory Day celebrations.
The traditional Immortal Regiment procession will move online due to security concerns, authorities say.

Let's see if things go ahead in Moscow still now. Could give Vlad an opportunity to appear heroic when his doppelgänger shows up for the parade despite all this danger to his life....

    "Ukrainian".

I find it highly suspect that they managed to hit the flag pole.

A little chitchat about the situation. Though, a minor incident seems to have happened somewhere in the occupied area - back in the past there was an outbreak of anthrax and a number of animals was buried with lots of warnings, so what did the russian army do - well they apparently dug trenches across the site and now has infected troops

I thought Russia has top notch air defence and jamming capabilities. Maybe it was just one of those Russia-operated Iranian drones straying off course
