Geronimo also raised some good points.

I am not as virtuous as he may suppose. I wish I was but I'm not.

I don't consider the US as some evil like I am some kind of iranian mujahedin. I see she is WRONG and destructive many times but as I got older I've learned to shut up and see a bit closer to home as to what is going on. So easy to throw stones...

I'm looking forward to him posting the new map.

I was talking to a friend (the mature big breasts) and she is a russophile, learns russian knows many russian films and is a far left winger and she said something like "so much for russia being a counterweight to them (-the US or the west) Pure dissapointment,.

I suppose some people felt like that. Although admidetely why would anyone expect that from dictatorship.

The fact of the matter is that there are tons of civilians dieng and they didn't need to be. This is a seismic shift. And it does hit close to home because it's next door.
For years I laughed at the east europeans hatred towards russia. But I see now that it was justified and all the warnings were real.

It is also an eye opener for who is who. How can anyone of a sane mind find even the slightest excuse for what is going on.

Some say that Urkaine was stupid the way finland wasn't. But finland decided to be finlandized and Ukraine went like this:

              1. It said no to NATO
              2. Then RUssia takes crimea
              3. Then it says yes to NATO

also people should be free to choose their fate. Simple as that.

I domn't udnerstand why would anyone argue. Murderous thugs and young boys invaded a country which is defending itself with self righteous rage.

These are not liberators entering to liberate the uniberated.

There is no point arguing. Just how to impose maximum pain on Russia and isolate her completely and aleviate as much as possible the suffering of the ukranians.

I don't know exactly at what goes on in syria, in yemen or in libya or in mali and I'm sorry I am complety ignorant. But I do know that next door there is a massacre happening by a murderous regime that needs to die. That much is clear

Apparently Russia used it's super high tech and very expensive hypersonic cruise missles to strke a Ukrainian depot.

My question would be, why use its most expensive conventional ordnance to do something it could do with cheaper ordnance?
They are running out of regular missiles.
Also there are two (equally criminal) explanations for why they heat civilians

                1. they don't know where the hell they are firing, they fire wherever and thousand people and children have been killed by these freckers
                2. they deliberately sometimes target residential areas to make people think they have some overwhelming missile fire power, whereas they do not. But they think by killing civilians they will make them afraid and believe that they have that

                  3. They are trying to terrorize Ukraine into submission.

I mean, that's pretty much what they did in Chechnya, flatten Grozny info submission. Even now, 30 years later, the city only has 2/3rds the population it did before the war.

It was standard Russian practice in Georgia and Syria as well.

                  • I don't know, maybe they're under a lot of pressure to deliver results and some of the Russian general don't give a **** about civilians.

                        • What is sad and eye opening at the same time is that mariopole (most of the cities in south ukraine have greek names) was predominandly russian speaking. And they leveled their "brothers" so to speak. People are trying to drink water from the heaters that's how desperate the situation is. And still they don't surrender. They will never surrender.
I don't know I think that the ukranian national ethos is being forged as we speak. So sad that it had to be done through so much blood.
As a side note in Odessa that's where the greek secret society was founded, a bunch of nutty greek intellectuals that had the crazy idea that greece could be free from the all mighty ottoman empire. There are several monuments there

                          • I hope those active and/or responsible for Mariupol and similar atrocities will end up in front of warcrime tribunals if they survive the war. Not sure if it ever comes to that, but it would be justified certainly.

                            • How low are you willing to set your thermostats in order to decrease your demand for natural gas? In Russia, it appears the cost of living has increased by 14%. So, everyone there is paying at least 14% more to support the war.
