And now what is really shameful:

My garage is ten times larger!

We don't have a homeless veterans here in Mother Russia, by definition.
Because we have a law which let's to ANY serviceman, whose contract with a military is over to get a certificate to buy a home for him and his family.
      The State pays for that!
Such thing as a homeless veteran is just UNTHINKABLE in Russia.

One of the few things where I actually agree with you
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"

Okay, I'm not going to be able to give this thread the attention I might have if this had happened a week earlier, but to answer some of your points:

                1. Quick and sloppy math suggests that, if Kyiv-Moscow hypersonic missiles take three minutes, Warsaw to Moscow might take four and a half. Why is that extra minute and a half so very, very precious to you? Either way such an attack would certainly mean GTW and the collapse of civilization, rendering whatever was saved in the intervening 1:30 pretty well moot. Also this reaction of Putin's makes Russia seem vastly more threatening and therefore makes expansion or greater empowerment of NATO accordingly more likely. Certainly it increases the odds of missiles to (and from) Moscow. Actually, wait. All the Baltics are in NATO anyway. Have been for some time. Can we not launch missiles from there?

                2. I was already aware (in a vague and general way) that we were pulling some crap prior to the annexation of Crimea (or whatever you want to call it). Brazenly interfering in Ukrainian politics, which was wrong, yes. This is not especially common knowledge in the USA, where--to be blunt--we normally just don't give a damn about Ukraine, or Russia. Really. Before this happened we were very busy worrying about China invading Taiwan. The average reasonably-educated American's impression of Russia is of a third-rate power ruled by gangsters, slowly killing itself with alcohol, drugs, and below-replacement fertility. Not going to argue with you whether that impression is true or false--I've never been there--but that's the impression. While you do have nukes, you are not our worst nightmare, generally speaking. We barely think of Russia at all. Not saying it to be rude. We just don't.

                3. I said "generally speaking." There is a segment of the left which is convinced that Russia is immensely powerful and menacing, but this is for reasons largely divorced from reality. I don't want to get into the weeds of Russiagate again, but basically they are or were convinced that Putin is this incredible 4D chessmaster ex-spy who can control us with hackers or some crap. Nothing to do with nukes or physical warfare, it's basically just leftovers from the Cold War. Across the aisle in the right wing (where you're far more likely to find our few actual Nazi sympathizers, ie people who explicitly worry about Securing the Future of the White Race and such trash), people tend to admire Putin/Russia for defending traditional values. To the extent we have literal Nazis at all in this country (and most of them just post dumb screeds on the internet), they're on your side. Our even fewer commies don't like you. What can I say, the US is in a weird place politically right now.

                4. On a related note, I've heard that Russian media are quoting Tucker Carlson. Dunno if you're familiar with him, but he's been saying stuff like "well, at least Putin isn't teaching your kids about transgenders," which is simultaneously quite true and breathtakingly stupid. Anyway, Tucker Carlson is not controlled. He has a fanatical fanbase who delight to hear him saying things "the liberals" don't want him to say. He made an hourlong documentary defending the 1/6 rioters as True Patriots Being Oppressed, which was in very bad taste and extremely unwelcome to the Biden administration. I don't listen to Tucker so I can't rule out the possibility that he has in fact quoted all the stuff you just said about the Minsk agreement, but I suspect he would have been outrage-quoted by leftists if he had. Failing that, Joe Rogan (a contrarian podcaster who recently got away with a compilation of him saying the N-word like eighty times over the years) would be all over that stuff. Failing THAT, there are now at least a half-dozen vermin congressmen who rode in on Trump's coat-tails; I can't remember them all and try not to think of them, but Marjorie Taylor Greene is arguably the, uh, most outspoken. Congressmen are not easily silenced and they made their careers, such as they are, speaking truth to power about the stupidest crap you ever heard of.

Please do not tell me that you know the American mediascape better than I do. I've lived here for more than three decades. We have never had less information control or a less unified narrative; a significant percentage of the population still believes an insane fairytale about pedo cabals controlling the world.

                5. "Patience" does not begin to explain how you overlooked mass murder for an entire presidential administration and then some. That's not patience, that's just not giving a damn. We've acted more decisively on the Uighurs than that, and China is way more capable of standing up to us than Ukraine is of standing up to you. And the Uighurs are about as far from American as you can get.

EDIT: 6. I do not think I have ever met a single person in my life who did not consider Russians/Slavs to be "white." Seriously, if you're not white I don't know who is. Jews are in an odd place there, but there is absolutely zero doubt about Slavs.
