Hmm. Well, I'm not sure what the Democrats have planned for the 2024 campaign, but don't be surprised if South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem makes a run for the presidency as a Republican in 2024. She's a Trump acolyte, so she'll have a half decent shot, I'd imagine, considering the state of that party's primary voters. And if she doesn't get the presidential nomination, I bet she winds up as the nominee's vice-presidential choice.

2024 is interesting to contemplate. Assuming Trump isn't dead, in jail, or discredited among his base by expressing approval for sane things like vaccination, he'll do his damnedest to hijack the nomination, and if he clinches it he'll have a fair shot of losing it no matter who he's running against. But the Dems have Biden, who's actually about as popular in office as Trump was ... and nobody else. Certainly nobody with charisma. Can they both lose? Is this somehow the Libertarian party's year to shine? I don't know.

Hillary desperately wants it to be her. Everyone knows Kamala is a loser who is not liked by anyone but I am afraid the Democrats will not be able to avoid that train wreck. Alternate reality, much? If Harris is the nominee, it would be because she won enough delegates via primaries and caucuses, e.g. those woke howlers voted for someone else other than her. She's behind the 8 ball in terms of running - Biden will not announce early if he decides not to seek reelection, because he has sense enough to make himself a one to two year lame duck. No establishment money or operatives are going to back an incumbent VP trying to primary a sitting President unless Biden starts channeling Trump. LBJ was primaried by an outsider, not by Humphrey, same with Truman in '52. So Harris has to sit back and wait until Biden makes his own decision, and money and operatives will go elsewhere. Harris is most likely a one and done as a one term VP.
