But he did say it could be a 1 term thing. I don't think anyone really voted for Kamala, she is literally a token. An unlikeable one. But it's up to Biden. If he steps down, the Democrats need to make this decision.

I think that Newsom got a big boost by beating the recall.

But a lot of us supported Newsom in the recall because the alternatives were crazy (Elder) or at the very least comfortable with crazy (Faulconer?). I don't think that Newsom personally was that popular, maybe he would even have lost to an Schwarzenegger type candidate (sorry, Jenner was no Schwarzenegger).

I don't know democrats who actually like her. I think she has some of the independents and maybe some of the moderate republicans, but you need to get the at least some democrats. She doesn't get the moderates or the establishment (and obviously not the liberals or progressives).

I would expect someone like Pete, Cory, or Amy. Or someone new.
