    OK, so let me sum this up:

    If the Left makes protests in teh cities (whithout being near any places of govrnment), in order to make the government comply with their demands, then it is an illegal riot.

    On the other hand, if the Right wants to force the government to do what it wants, and in order to do so, forces its way into the house of parliament (also called Capitol), then it is just a protest which isn't illegal

    Did I sum this up correctly?

                Perhaps because this is historical and important. Perhaps so your rantings about the impeachment trial could be taken seriously.
                But you've opted to just use the righty media's talking points, as usual.

                Dude, I watched on January 6th as a fired-up mob stormed the US Capitol while the POTUS who sent them there stood by and did nothing.

                Trump's own defense team lied today, blatantly ignoring his trigger-tweet saying the Pence had failed them - pretending that didn't happen, even as the VP and his family had to be rushed to safety to avoid the mob calling for his head. But his defense team just wanted to talk about his tweets that came later, after the Capitol had been breached and the Congress evacuated.

                Talk about a hack job!

                It had been reported that Trump mistakenly called Lee when he was trying to reach Sen. Tommy Tuberville, the Republican from Alabama. According to the reports, including an account Lee gave to the Deseret News in Utah, Trump was trying to reach Tuberville to discuss objecting to the certification of Electoral College votes.

                House prosecutor Rep. David Cicilline recounted news reports, but Lee objected and asked that they be stricken from the record as false.

                It’s unclear what aspect of the comments Lee wanted removed. But House impeachment managers agreed to strike the reference from the record.

                Lead prosecutor Rep. Jamie Raskin said they may revisit it later...."
