Some invading rioters defiled the hallowed seat of democracy with their dung in their ill-fated effort to overturn the election, a source close to incoming Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told The Post.

The vile vandals apparently took dumps in bathrooms and then spread around their poop, a Schumer insider said. “Congressional staffers saw feces in the hallways,” the source said Friday. “It came from the bathroom and they tracked it around,” the source said. “There was an intentional effort to degrade the Capitol building.”

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) of Brooklyn also reported that some members of the mob urinated on the floors during the rampage.

“There was urine. There was clear desecration,” he told WNYC on Thursday.

Jeffries said Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) had a posterboard memorial tribute to late civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis on the wall in his office.

“That was missing. It was in an area where protesters had clearly penetrated,” Jeffries said.

Authorities are trying to get to the bottom of who stormed the Capitol and caused widespread vandalism, breaking windows and damaging property as they infiltrated offices and posed for selfies.

You really don't get it, do you? Trump was willing to see US Congress members cuffed and executed to get his way.
Capitol police are seen letting rioters in without resistance, taking selfies together, etc. And they were allowed to just...wander away instead of getting arrested. Many on duty were trying to do their jobs and 2 are dead (1 a suicide!) despite being outmanned and outgunned. But there were plenty helping Trump's mob gain unlawful access.

I think the cops weren't on the same page. I saw video of cops at a barricade apparently just give up and let people thru. There were two groups of people entering the capitol, vandals breaking in and lookie loos who behaved like tourists in the midst of a riot.

Maybe some of them were revolutionaries but that wasn't a revolution. It wasn't a coup. It was a bunch of pissed off Americans protesting and they lost control of themselves. And there were some people that planned some kind of extreme violence (kidnapping or something). I have no idea what they were planning.

But you seem really mad about pooping on Pelosi's desk or something. And I don't care at all. In fact I'll admit that I get a little dopamine hit of that.

Your contention that this was just a protest where "they lost control of themselves" is 100% BS. Sure, there were some innocent GOP tourists who just wanted to have their voices heard in support of Trump, but only because the GOP has been lying their assess off for over 2 months, claiming illegal voting that simply did not happen. But there was a significant wannabe invading army there, with climbing gear, with weapons, with pipe bombs, and zip ties, most wearing protective gear. There was a lot of planning, both publicly and behind the scenes.

That's not "losing control." That's planning an assault. On the nation's Capitol. And anyone complicit should be arrested and charged.
