GDP is basically your national income. It doesn't matter. Russians pay 5.6% of GDP (income) on health care.Originally posted by Serb View Post
Nope!
Salaries is a one thing GDP is another!
The GDP is not about the salaries at all, silly. It's a summ of all products and services produced by a country, but not a summ of salaries paid to employees!I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

Once again - an employee pays a percentage of his salary (regardless of the size of his salary it's still 3,2%) monthly for his medical assurance.
He doesn't give a sh!t (from the point of view of his personal expenses) how many percents of GDP a state spends on healthcare.
For him it's an already paid service!

Maybe the rest comes from oil revenue. You still pay it.Originally posted by Serb View PostLearn some basic economic terms, really.

But not from salaries!
GDP is a summ of all products and servises by a country. That includes an additional values, you call a profits. So basically GDP - salaries = additional values and visa verse - GDP = Salaries + profits (which is equal to the prices of all goods and servises produced).
So, 3.2% of salaries doesn't equal to 3.2% of GDP!
