"By the way, on November 4 you won't hear about it anymore," Trump said.
Actually, November 4th was when daily cases climbed above 100,000. The US has not had a day with less than 100,000 new cases since the election.
Daily deaths, of course, are on a similar track, with the 7-day moving average now up to 1,142 per day.
Trump continues to ignore the pandemic. Because he literally does not care whether Americans live or die.

The results add to growing confidence that vaccination can end the pandemic.
(jokes aside, it's surely fair to note that vaccine development happened largely under Donald's watch. If we ignore that the Pfizer thing is not exclusively US made. However this doesn't undo the damage already done - and still is being done - by this WH's Covid response).
Funny how this disease was scary back in June, as we waited for the wave of cases after Memorial Day weekend and the "reopening" of various states' economies. At that point, only a handful of states had even 100 cases per million population.
Predictably, by June 15, all those superspreader parties and reopened businesses and churches had created 23 states with over 1,000 cases per million.
By the end of summer, 22 states had over 10,000 cases per million.
By Halloween, we had 18 states with over 30,000 cases per million.
What's really interesting is the progression, with COVID hitting high population, mostly "blue" states in the early days, then progressing to dominate the "we don't need no stinking masks" red states more and more as time goes on.
This dynamic bar graph is a great illustration of how serious this is, and which states' approaches are working best to control the spread. Check it out:

Sweden has herd immunity imo. They have had around 200 new cases per day for around 3 months now. The experts are wrong a lot on this because it's a novel virus. A large portion of the population is immune at default.
Sweden is currently undergoing a massive covid wave. Apparently they were nowhere near herd immunity. Since last week they have 300 new cases per 100k population.Their deaths are also about 10x the other nordics. Apparently their economy also did worse then the other nordics this year.

Gib's twitter stuff demonstrates what regular misinformation can do to ppl. It's sad to see that some never learn, not even when they're (possibly) going to die.
