The dead man was resisting arrest so I do not feel much sympathy for him.
The police officer is believed to have used wildly exchange excessive force so it seems appropriate he be dismissed and charged with manslaughter or murder.
The looting is inexcusable criminal behaviour.

I'm not watching the video (low bandwidth) but I really don't think all those protestors were raised by Donald Trump. In any case, they all look old enough to assume personal responsibility for vigilantism. The widespread desire to find ways to shoehorn every crappy thing into the enemy-tribe's-fault box is irritating. -

You will notice that crowd was mostly black clad Antifa thugs with over half being white teens and 20 somethings. A lot of the people breaking windows and lighting businesses on fire have also been young who’re males dressed in black wearing masks. The video of black locals trying to protect locally owned businesses from rioting, looting, and arson was also pretty powerful. It was truly pathetic to see left wing journalists making excuses for thugs who were just stealing because they could and for no other reason. Here we have two contrasting ways to handle the public.
First we have Minneapolis cops shooting a bunch of young women on their own porch (Governor said citizens could be on their own porch). One of these pussies even says “LIGHT EM UP!” Listen with sound, there is NO WAY these girls were threatening in any way.
In addition to the above heavy handed ness, so far this week same PD has :
1) Murdered a guy in broad daylight on camera
2) Ran away from their precinct in full force instead of protecting it
3) Instead of protecting their precinct, and restoring order, decided the show up in full force and full gear to protect murderer
4) Drive by pepper sprayed peaceful demonstrators (including young women)
5) Arrested a peaceful, complying CNN reporter on national TV
These cowards need a Federal injunction and 10 year oversight the same way they did with the LAPD.
Very few people condone the rioters, but when the authority figures in charge are terrorizing the community, you can see exactly where they learn bad behavior, coupled with years of boiling anger.

This is, you realize, almost certainly going to help Trump, and the effect will strengthen the longer the rioting continues. It might not be enough to save him at the ballot box, but strongmen, or even wannabe strongmen, prosper when people are running around setting things on fire.Comment
