What's also interesting here is the Russians initially refused an alliance with Britain and France since those two wouldn't just hand over the Baltic States. Germany guaranteed Russians could have them so that's why they signed the agreement with Hitler.

Did Russians not read the guy's book who said he wanted to turn the whole country into his backyard? Perhaps typical Communist repression forbade personal thoughts and feelings not sanctioned by the party?

Dinner was right about Stalin not caring about people. Mao was the same. Kim Jong-un and Emperor Xi are the same.

    Some nice 101, instructive excerpts

    "
Photo from 1943 exhumation of mass grave of polish officers killed by NKVD in Katyń Forest in 1940."

"Thereafter, state administrations were liquidated and replaced by Soviet cadres, followed by mass repression[33] in which 34,250 Latvians, 75,000 Lithuanians and almost 60,000 Estonians were deported or killed."

"In the two years of Soviet occupation, approximately 150,000 Poles were killed. Another 320,000 were deported and sent to gulags."

"The coup de grace was delivered to the Polish by the Red Army. The Polish army was hoping to organize an efficient defence in the area of the Romanian bridgehead. During this time, the Red Army entered the eastern regions of Poland, under the pretext of protecting the Ukrainian and Belarusian minorities from the imminent Polish collapse." [I see Comrade Putin is up to the same old shenanigans.]

Thanks for a perfect example of American idiotism and lies!

Anyone who had studied history knows what kind of bullsh!t you have posted above.

The lie spreads through the single lie of your post.

It's a behavior of caught crimial, who points his finger on the other person.

But the truth is that Soviet Union was the only country in Europe who constantly tried to create the anti-Hitler coalition in 30's!
During the Munich agreement, USSR was the only country who had confirmed to fulfill it's obligations to protect Czechoslovakia and made it it clear that Soviets will declare war on the Nazi Germany, if Hitler will cross the border of Czechoslovakia. But, your beloved Poland didn't give the right of passage for the Red Army. And your beloved Great Britain and France - just FEEDED Czechoslovakia to Hitler. Poland had their own reasons for that, because she on pair with Hitler has devided it! Poland took part of Czechoslovakia - Tishinska oblast on pair with Hitler. Poland had a fascist regime back then and if you want to find a real ally of Hitler of that time - check Poland, Hungary and Romania.
F*ck! The whole f*cking Europe was allied with Hitler!
They wanted him to attack Russia, as has beed written in his book!
And their did their best to make him stronger for that "drang nah osten" crusade.
But, oops! Hitler had his own vision and his own plans how to deal with the World dominance.

As for Katynm even if that is true (which is not, according to the initial Allied investigation of 1944, who blames Nazis for that), even if it is so, what the f*ck is that, if not a revenge for the hundreds of thousands of Soviet POWs starved and otherwise exterminated in their concentration camps by Poland after its attack on Soviet Russia in 1920's?
    Poland got what she deserved!
    Because Poland never learns!

And you will get the same, Yanks! If you don't stop lying and beliving in your own self-created lies.

Your own delusions will lead you to your death!

I see the Bolsheviks enjoy getting their info from state sponsored TV. Russians should watch factual broadcasts based on ethics and integrity such as Fox News or Infowars.

The idea that Poland was going to let the Red Army walk in after previously attacking them is a joke and everyone knows it. It's a raw deal that they knew nobody was going to accept, except maybe the brainwashed manipulated masses back home.

Even though Soviets got whooped back in 1920, Polish were right to be suspicious of having a malicious army walking through their own borders. They would be about as legitimate as pro Russian Ukrainian "volunteers." Suspicions were confirmed when Russians invaded.

"Since USSR had no shared border with Germany, this would effectively mean overwhelming, voluntary occupation by Red Army of the territories of Poland which was previously target of Soviet military aggression in 1920 and Soviet-sponsored terrorism through the whole 30's. The negotiations have failed, much to the expectations of Molotov."

As for the occupation, these guys were dishonorable:
          1. "The Soviets often failed to honour the terms of surrender. In some cases, they promised Polish soldiers their freedom and then arrested them when they laid down their arms."
          2. "The Soviets killed tens of thousands of Polish prisoners of war, some during the campaign itself.[101] "
          3. "On 24 September, the Soviets killed 42 staff and patients of a Polish military hospital in the village of Grabowiec, near Zamość.[102]"
          4. "The Soviets also executed all the Polish officers they captured after the Battle of Szack, on 28 September 1939.[86]"
          5. "The NKVD killed 22,000 Polish military personnel and civilians in the Katyn massacre.[1][84]Torture was used by the NKVD on a wide scale in various prisons, especially those in small towns.[103]"
          6. "During the two years following the annexation, the Soviets also arrested approximately 100,000 Polish citizens.[110] "

Here is Comrade Putin admitting the pact with Nazis was wrong but then changing his mind later after sipping the vodka koolaid
          1. In 2009, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin wrote in the Polish daily Gazeta Wyborcza that the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact concluded in August 1939 was "immoral".[126]
          2. In 2015, then President of the Russian Federation, he commented: "In this sense I share the opinion of our culture minister (Vladimir Medinsky praising the pact as a triumph of Stalin's diplomacy) that this pact had significance for ensuring the security of the USSR"

One thing I've noticed after sampling Russian pop culture and literature, there is a clear condescension and contempt of the Poles, going back hundreds of years, as if they were somehow pests and deserve everything they've gotten. Maybe it's because Poles actually raided Moscow multiple times and this is some lame form of payback due to pride being hurt.

Russian Chinese friendship pact in full effect

"We have to do everything to protect our people," Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a televised cabinet meeting on Thursday, The New York Times reported.

"Russian officials have ordered closed more than half of the crossing points along its 2,600-mile border with China, citing concerns about the Wuhan coronavirus that has so far sickened nearly 8,000 people around the world and killed 170 within China."

"The government also temporarily suspended electronic visas for Chinese citizens, according to the statement."

Russian officials announced Thursday that 16 of 25 crossing points along the 2,600-mile Russia-China border will close by midnight on Friday.

              1. Soviet Union provided Germany with places for amy training in the 20s and the 30s to circumvent the Versailles treaty, which lead to the growth of German army.
              2. Soviet Union signed Ribbentrop-Molotov pact with secret clauses which divided Poland and Baltic States between them.
              3. Soviet Union staged joint military parades with nazi Germany during the invasion of Poland.
              4. Soviet Union provided nazi Germany with resources needed for war. Also the ones needed for German invasion of itself.

Soviet Union continued to - unofficially - demand eastern parts of Poland, and Poland was afraid it'd take it. Which proved right, because Soviet Union did take those lands in 1939, in alliance with Hitler, and once again, in 1945.
Poland was also afraid Soviet Union would want to install as communist totalitarian regime in Poland. And it did so in 1944/1945 indeed.
Soviet union has just, several years earlier, in the 30s, disbanded entire Polish Communist Party and exterminated it. For several years, there was no Polish communist party, because they were all "trotskysts", "Polish spies" etc. There were two Polish autonomous regions in USSR. One in Belarus, one in Ukraine. During "Polish action" in the 30s, they were disbanded, and their population either killed or moved to Siberia, mostly. They were simply destroyed. Approximately 100 thousand people were killed. It is something mostly forgotten in Poland today, because those were peasants and communists, but well, this kind of anti-Polish sentiment in USSR couldn't make Poland too hopeful USSR has good intentions. Even marshall Rokossowski was persecuted, also because he was Polish, had his teeth broken etc. Tell me, how could Poland believe USSR wanted good for it?

Poland had their own reasons for that, because she on pair with Hitler has devided it! Poland took part of Czechoslovakia - Tishinska oblast on pair with Hitler.
You even don't know the name well. Poland didn't take it together with Hitler, but independently, profiting from Prague's problems indeed. In Poland, it's considered as a black card in history. Too much: Czechoslovakia took this area from Poland after ww1, when it was fighting with Soviet Russia, ironically "to prevent workers from communist propaganda spreading in Poland"... Czechoslovakia persecuted local Poles. And Poland only took part of disputed territory, and only where Poles were a majority. It was a tiny area anyway. Moreover, Poland took it, because Hitler wanted to take it in Munchen (there was coal there, and some German minority), so Czechoslovakia would have lost it anyway. Poland today apologises for that, and the area is in Czech hands still, even though it was majorly Polish. Soviet Union, on similar excuse, took eastern Poland in 1939. But, unlike Poland:
              1) Soviet Union took it in direct alliance with Hitler.
              2) It was half of Poland, up to its core, while in the case of Poland, it took tiny border areas.
              3) Soviet Union murdered dozens of thousands of Polish officers by the way of that, Poland didn't do it.
              4) Soviet Union moved hundreds of Poles away to Siberia, Poland wasn't as cruel.
              5) Soviet Union annexed also lands with clear Polish majority, Poland didn't do this to Czechs.
              6) Soviet Union participated in destruction of Polish state with Hitler, Poland didn't destroy Czechoslovakia.
              7) Soviet Union kept those lands after ww2, Poland did not.
              8) Poland keeps apologising for this move actually (more than it should) and Russians tend to defend Soviet Union's actions.

Poland had a fascist regime back then and if you want to find a real ally of Hitler of that time - check Poland, Hungary and Romania.
Poland was authoritarian, but was not fascist at all. Moreover, it had Jewish MPs, Jewish generals, Jewish pop figures, Jewish ministers in the goverment.
Hungary and Romania actually were German allies. Poland was not.

F*ck! The whole f*cking Europe was allied with Hitler!
No, but much of it. Namely: USSR and a couple of other countries (Slovakia, Hungary, Romania etc.)

The fate of Soviet POWs in Poland was the same as Polish POWs in Soviet Union. Poland wasn't especially mean to Soviets then. This is just Moscow's propaganda you're swallowing like a hungry, blind mole.

Katyń is true. Soviet Union, and later Russia, confirmed that and handed over Soviet documents confirming it. Also, there were wittnesses questioned etc. When it comes to allies, they hushed it up to keep alliance with USSR. Which is written in declasified American documents: USA sold Poland in this case.
Also, revenge? What kind of talk is that?

The problem with you is that you'll defend the stance of your country at all cost. Truth, morality, decency are irrelevant to you in this. Moreover, you're not doing your country any favour. I once said it about Turkish stance towards Armenians, and it's the same for your defense of USSR / Russia. No-one can blame modern Russians for the crimes commited by a clique who ruled USSR in the 30s up to 50s. However, one can blame them for what they do today. And what you do, and what Putin does, is trying to strangle truth in order not to hear sad knowledge about your own country. It's a honour murder of truth.

Look at your Katyń: What you say is:
              1) It's not true, probably.
              2) Even if its true, it was ok (because of a made up argument), and they deserve it.

You know well it was not good. Otherwise you'd condemn it. But you try to push the blame from Russia as far as you can. Like a murderer who was caught on camera murdering some lady, and still says it wasn't him, but even if he did, she deserved it, because she was a slut or whatever.

Your defense of Russia makes it even worse. And the words of Putin, while pleasing for ears of Russian uber-nationalists, like you, and acceptable for some corrupt regimes, are seen by most of the world as a confirmation of that the current goverment of Russia is blatant liars with no morality, and dangerous.

Everyone made a contribution to the victory over the Nazis, but most of all the victory was at the expense of Soviet citizens. No one denies that the SU killed millions of people, but it was through human resources that SU won the war, not tactics.
