Trump was not the accuser. He was the accused. He doesn't even have to testify. Did you learn any of this as a police officer? Did you participate in investigations? Did you conduct witness interviews?

Again, he was not required to give testimony at all so how can it be unacceptable. He was helping the investigation even though the investigation was unfair to him.

To establish a case you need acceptable testimony from witnesses. When someone accuses someone of a crime they need to be interviewed.

It they don't it doesn't weigh much. A judge will take it sometimes in civil cases but they want the witnesses to come to court to answer questions and so that they can check body language etc...
