The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.
Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Thank you Aeson! You took the site over when nobody really wanted it, and when Apolyton's continued existence was threatened. Now you hand it over upgraded and improved. And of course who better to own it now than Ming, the man who's been here since before many Civ6 players were even born

Congratulations ... you defeated all stones that were put into your way by the laws of Murphy

Anyone still seeing ads? I can no longer see them even when logged out in an incognito window. Shouldn't be any more ads on mobile either.
And Oerdin - you can definitely be an ass, but I apologize for my "preemptive ban" of you. I was wrong then, and generally wasn't handling the forum with enough forethought.

Go to your profile, and click "Customize my Style" under there. See if you find something with font options that seems relevant.
Found the culprit - I was using the "Dark Style" instead of "Default vB5 Style" (lower left corner of thread) - switching to Default made it all more sane.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Good catch. Try the dark theme again, does it look more reasonable now?

Yep, much more relaxing, thanx

Glad we're back in action! Have re-posted my posts from the blackout aftermath. It's like it neeeeeevvvveeeerrr happened lol.
Oh and I'm guessing there's still no chance of all the old Apolyton downloads coming back to life now that there's a new server? This place was such an incredible resource. Thankfully a lot of the old downloads section was backed up at Webarchive.org but not all of it!

Do you have some links to archived but missing downloads?
There's plenty of files that are now inaccessible due to the various forum upgrades. But the files are mostly intact, it seems, I saw some really old ones in the data.

There was a third party vb plugin that was used for uploads. It stored files in a maze of folders named 0-9. But no vb5 version. One of the tables in the database holds the relative paths and filenames. I always meant to write a script to retrieve the files when requested by the public url but never got around to it.
Ah, those. And I think it's just part of all the downloads anyway. We have some uploads/0-9, but there's also uploads/view, and then there are the vB2 era individual per-user upload folders. I think that's where your legendary Civ3 game is.
I might, if I have the time, do some simple URL resurrection, but if someone knows web development and wants to properly rebuild the downloads, well, that would be a great person for Ming, as the new owner, to assign
